A night shift at a pizza restaurant has rarely felt so tense. Five Nights at Freddy's 2, released on Android by Clickteam USA LLC as a remaster of the PC game, puts the player in the role of the new overnight security guard at a revamped Freddy Fazbear's Pizza.
The restaurant now has a fresh set of kid-friendly animatronics alongside the older, worn-out ones, all supposedly equipped with modern safety technology. The guard's task is to watch the security cameras through the night and make sure nothing goes wrong. The previous guard, the story notes darkly, complained that the characters kept trying to get into the office. To help, the new guard is handed an empty Freddy Fazbear head, meant to trick any animatronic that wanders in into leaving. The humour is grim and the tension comes from watching, waiting and reacting in time. The interface and audio are in English, with subtitles in many other languages.
