Call of Duty®: Mobile brings Activision Publishing, Inc.'s long-running shooter series to phones as a free-to-play package. It pairs classic small-team multiplayer on well-known series maps with a large-scale battle royale mode, all using familiar operators and weapons.

In multiplayer, matches take place on maps such as Nuketown, Shipment, Rust, Terminal, Raid and Hijacked, with standard modes such as Team Deathmatch, Hardpoint, Domination, Frontline and Search & Destroy, plus limited-time playlists. A Ranked Multiplayer ladder hands out seasonal rewards, and reaching the Legendary tier opens a higher level of competition modelled on the series' esports scene. The battle royale side drops squads onto big maps where they can drive vehicles and fight tactically until one team is left. Between matches, players rank up and build loadouts that suit their style, and 5v5 play is the standard format for the core modes.
