The loop has two halves. On defence, players lay out their village and upgrade each building to make it harder to crack, with the Town Hall as the prize to protect. On offence, they assemble armies from many combinations of troops, spells and Heroes, such as the Barbarians and Wizards mentioned in the listing, then attack other players to steal loot that pays for further upgrades. Clans add the team layer: members fight together in Clan Wars and can test themselves in the competitive Clan War Leagues, while a Ranked Mode offers online multiplayer battles for individual players.
