Editor Reviews

DeepSeek - AI Assistant is the official chat app from DeepSeek, the company behind the model of the same name. It puts the company's AI assistant on a phone for free, with the pitch that it can help users solve problems and get through everyday tasks more efficiently.

The store description is notably brief. It says the app runs on DeepSeek's newest flagship model, with quicker replies and stronger capabilities than before, but it does not list specific tools such as file uploads, voice input or history features. What it describes, then, is a conversational assistant: users type a question or request and receive an answer from the model. Anyone expecting a detailed feature tour will not find one in the listing itself.

The numbers are mixed but large: 3.9 from 334,505 ratings, with 58% five stars and 19% one star, and 50,000,000+ installs. The app is free with no ads and no in-app purchases in our record. It was updated on 2026-09-17, needs Android 6.0 or newer and is rated Teen. We list 51 versions, and the newest, 2.5.3, is a light 19.6 MB.

People who want a free AI chat assistant with a small footprint have an easy option here. Those who need a clear list of features or advanced integrations will have to explore the app themselves, since the description says little.

Frequently asked questions

01 Is DeepSeek - AI Assistant free?

Yes. DeepSeek - AI Assistant is listed as free on Google Play.

02 Which Android version does DeepSeek - AI Assistant need?

The current release requires Android 7.0.

03 How do I install the APK?

Download the file from the version page, open it on your Android device and allow installs from this source when prompted. XAPK bundles need the APKPure app or a split-APK installer (see the install guide in the footer). Always prefer the latest version unless you specifically need an older build.

04 Is the download safe?

Files come from our download library or external sources and are not modified by us. Check the package name (com.deepseek.chat) and developer before installing.

05 How do I get my account back?

Accounts belong to the developer's own service, not to this site. Use the sign-in recovery option inside DeepSeek - AI Assistant, or contact DeepSeek through the support address listed on Google Play.

06 How do I cancel a subscription?

Subscriptions bought through Google Play are managed in the Play Store under Payments and subscriptions; purchases made inside the app follow the developer's own billing.

07 Can I get a refund?

Appmello never charges for downloads, so there is nothing to refund here. Refunds for in-app purchases are handled by Google Play or by the developer. Never enter payment details on any page claiming to be a download step.

08 How do I use DeepSeek - AI Assistant?

Open the app after installing; it works exactly like the Play Store build. For feature questions see the developer's help pages, as Appmello only distributes the installer.
