Silly Smiley Live Wallpaper

Silly Smiley Live Wallpaper, published by LuX GLOBAL, does one thing: it puts animated, goofy smiley faces on a phone's home screen. It is a personalization app in the most literal sense, meant to make the background a bit more cheerful rather than to add any tools or widgets.

The store description is repetitive and short on detail. Boiled down, it promises a collection of moving smiley-themed backgrounds to browse and apply, with a humorous tone meant to add some fun and good mood to the screen each day. It does not say how many wallpapers are included, whether they can be customised, or whether new ones are added over time, so expectations should stay limited to picking a live wallpaper and setting it.

The numbers are interesting. It has 5,000,000+ installs and a 3.9 average from 159,839 ratings. Five-star ratings make up 59% of the total, but 18% are one star, so a noticeable minority is unimpressed. The app is free with no ads and no in-app purchases listed, which is unusual for a wallpaper app. It was updated on 2026-08-27, carries a 12+ rating and needs Android 7.0 or newer. We list 18 versions, the latest being 2.0.7 at 56.6 MB.

Anyone who wants a playful animated background without ads or upsells should find it an easy install. People who expect a large, documented library or customisation options will not find those promised in the listing. Its 12+ rating is also worth noting for parents setting it up on a child's phone.
