Rolling Icon: 3D Wallpaper

App icons that tumble, spin and bounce around the screen are the gimmick behind Rolling Icon: 3D Wallpaper from Maxlabs Personalization Tools. Rather than a gallery of pictures, it is a set of playful effects that treat the home screen like a small physics playground.

The headline feature turns icons into objects that roll, fall and collide, responding to gravity as the phone is tilted or touched. Icon Spinning adds rotation so shortcuts keep moving, and these effects can be combined with animated backgrounds. A third mode, Icon Rubik, replaces the usual app grid with a 3D launcher in which icons are arranged on a Rubik-style cube that can be turned to find apps. Animated wallpapers round things out. The idea is less about practicality and more about making everyday unlocking feel a little more entertaining.

The app scores 4.2 from 70,951 ratings. 75% are five stars, but 14% are one star, a noticeably mixed picture that suggests the effects do not please everyone. It has 10,000,000+ installs, is free with ads, and sells in-app items for $4.99 - $39.99 per item. The latest update is from 2026-09-17, it needs Android 7.0 or newer, and it is rated Everyone. We list 33 versions; the latest, 7.6.3, is 55.8 MB.

People who like novelty and want a home screen that reacts when they move the phone will have fun experimenting. Anyone who values a fast, tidy launcher for getting work done may find rolling icons more distracting than useful. Users can also mix and match, pairing rolling or spinning icons with an animated background of their choice.
