Somewhere in a swamp, a lone homeowner sits on his porch while a parade of monsters heads his way. That is the premise of Swamp Attack from Moving Eye, a side-on action shooter with tower defence roots, where the house is the tower and you are the only defence.
Shooting is handled by holding a finger on the screen, while explosives are dragged and dropped straight onto approaching enemies. Weapons can be switched mid-fight, and between levels players upgrade and equip guns and bombs. The arsenal runs to more than 35 defence tools, including dynamite, flamethrowers, crossbows, molotov cocktails, a shotgun, a minigun and an atom bomb. The enemies are just as varied: over 90 kinds, among them crocodiles, zombie-like creatures, aliens, mutants and tanks, each with special attacks. The content spans 10 episodes and 510 single-player levels, plus quick missions and a Challenge mode, and a potion can revive you or refill energy. It also plays offline.
