Survivalcraft

Now on its thirtieth release, Survivalcraft is a long-running sandbox survival series from Candy Rufus Games. The premise is simple: the player washes up on the edge of an endless blocky world and has to make a life there.

Survival means mining resources, crafting tools and weapons, setting traps, growing plants, sewing clothes and hunting animals for food. A shelter is needed to get through cold nights. Players can ride horses, camels or donkeys, herd cattle away from predators, blast through rock with explosives and build electric contraptions. Worlds can be shared online. This release adds copper as a new tier of armour and weapons, lets stairs, slabs, fences and signs be painted, allows electric gates on floors and ceilings, adds dense spruce forests, larger caves with much bigger magma chambers, and new sound-generator sounds including drums.

Reception is solid at 4.4 from 63,793 ratings, with 67% five stars and 6% one star, and the game has passed 1,000,000+ installs. It is free in this record with no ads and no in-app purchases. The catch is age: the last update dates from 2023-04-12. On the plus side, it asks only for Android 4.1 or newer and is rated Everyone 10+. We list 1 version, 1.29.57.0.

Players who want a survival sandbox without purchases or ads, or who run older hardware, are well served. Those who expect frequent updates should note the long gap since the last one.
