Editor Reviews
The classic snake-and-worm game gets a 3D racing makeover in Snake Run Race・3D Running Game from Freeplay Inc. Instead of circling a flat screen, your snake slithers down an obstacle course against a pack of rival snakes, and the first to the finish wins.
Old rules still apply in a new form. Eating orbs and smaller rivals makes your snake longer, while bumping into a bigger snake, or being swallowed by one, ends the run and forces a restart; crashing into hurdles does the same. That turns every race into a quick series of judgement calls: grow when you can, steer clear when you are outsized, and dodge obstacles along the way. Winning races and completing quests earns cosmetic rewards such as little hats and skins that change the look of your snake. The listing also hints at a change of pace from pure racing, though it does not detail it, and it pitches the game as a way to fill idle moments such as waiting in line.
Snake Run Race has 50,000,000+ installs and about 160,000 ratings averaging 4.7; 83% are five stars and only 3% are one star. It is free with ads, and it lists a single in-app purchase price of $2.99 per item. It was updated on 2026-09-07, needs Android 7.1 or newer and is rated Everyone. We list 32 versions; the latest, 1.42.1, is 222.4 MB.
Fans of the old snake formula, and anyone wanting short, colourful races to pass the time, will find it cheerful and easy. Players looking for depth or an ad-free game will need something else.
