NEKKI's long-running Shadow Fight series moves into team-based multiplayer with Shadow Fight 4: Arena. It is a 3D fighting game where warriors, samurai and ninja trade blows one-on-one, but victory depends on beating an entire squad rather than a single opponent.

Each player assembles a team of three heroes, and a match is only won once all of the rival's fighters are down. Heroes are collected and upgraded, and each has abilities that can be swapped and tuned, while talents unlocked through levelling let players shape a fighting style. The controls follow classic fighting-game conventions, and the developer promises a console-like feel on a phone. There are several ways to fight: online PvP against other players, private duels with friends via invitation, offline matches against bots that the developer says use machine learning, and a PvE story mode that fills in the world of Shadow Fight.
