About this app
Editor Reviews
Brain games are only half of what GMRD Apps Limited offers in Impulse - Brain Training Games. Listed under Health & Fitness, it pairs a daily training routine with a set of self-discovery tests about personality and emotional intelligence.
On the training side, the app assembles a personalised daily plan focused on the skills a user most needs to work on, covering memory and processing speed, attention and focus, mental arithmetic, and problem solving. The games are described as quick to understand but demanding enough to keep people improving. The second pillar is a library of tests, including IQ tests, checks of cognitive strengths, personality type and archetype profiles, and emotional intelligence and self-awareness quizzes, each followed by suggestions about what to work on next. Progress is tracked over time with performance trends, streaks and reports.
The numbers are striking. Impulse averages 4.5 from about 647,000 ratings, with 74% five-star and 6% one-star, and it has 10,000,000+ installs. It is free to install with ads, while in-app purchases range from $4.99 to $99.99 per item. The update on 2026-09-17 is recent, but the app requires Android 10 or newer, which rules out older phones. It is rated Everyone. We list 33 versions, the latest being 1.7.0 at 91.2 MB.
Users who want a structured daily routine plus personality-style insights in one place will find a lot here. Those on older devices, or who prefer not to pay for premium tiers, should check the Android requirement and price range first.
