Rockstar Games brought one of its most celebrated open-world crime games to phones with Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas. Set in the early 1990s, it follows Carl Johnson, known as CJ, who returns to Los Santos after his mother's murder, only to be framed by corrupt police and dragged into a struggle to save his family and win back the streets.

The story takes CJ across the whole state of San Andreas, which takes in Los Santos plus the cities of San Fierro and Las Venturas, as well as the land between them. The listing promises more than 70 hours of play. This mobile edition has been remastered for phones, with sharper graphics, improved lighting, a richer colour palette and better character models. Dual analog stick controls handle movement and camera, and members of Rockstar Social Club can use cloud saves to carry progress between mobile devices.

Adults who want a long, story-driven open world on their phone get a lot of game for a single purchase. Younger players are outside its rating, and owners of devices older than Android 9 will not be able to run it.
