About this app
Editor Reviews
Face Swap Gender Swap&Changer is a photography app from Energy apps that promises to show users how they would look as the opposite gender, alongside face-swap effects for joke photos with friends and family.
The main tool is a gender filter that converts a photo from male to female or the other way round. On top of that, the app offers makeup-style edits such as reshaping eyebrows, colouring lips, smoothing skin and brightening eyes, plus funny face changes and other facial effects. A face swap option is also named. The description repeats keywords heavily and gives little detail about how results are produced, so the app is best judged by its reception rather than its marketing. In practice, a user picks a photo, applies the swap or one of the makeup tweaks, and saves or shares the edited result for a laugh.
That reception is poor. The app averages 1.6 from 2,680 ratings, and the histogram is lopsided: 82% of ratings are one star and only 14% are five stars. It has still reached 500,000+ installs. The app is free with ads and has no in-app purchases. It was last updated on 2025-08-06, requires Android 7.0 or newer and is rated Everyone. We list 1 version, 5.0.
Users who just want a quick gender-swap joke may try it, but the ratings suggest most people were disappointed. Better-rated photo editors are worth checking first.
