Geeni is the companion app for Merkury Innovations' line of Geeni smart home devices. It gathers every compatible bulb, plug and gadget into one control panel on the phone, and it also hooks into Amazon Echo for voice control.

Each device can be managed individually: colour bulbs can be set to a chosen colour or mood, white bulbs can be dimmed, and smart plugs report their energy use. Devices can be grouped by room, arranged into smart scenes that trigger automated actions, and put on schedules so they switch on and off at set times. Account sharing lets the owner decide which family members, roommates or guests can control which devices. Because the service runs in the cloud, users can log in on any phone and manage their home from anywhere. There is no separate hub; each Geeni device joins the home Wi-Fi network directly.
