About this app
Editor Reviews
Horror-flavoured practical jokes are the whole point of Scary Universe: Prank Call, an entertainment app from TeH Software. It stages fake incoming calls and video calls from invented spooky characters so users can startle friends, and the developer is clear that everything in it is fiction made for fun.
The toolkit is small and focused. Users pick a scary character, then trigger a simulated voice call or video call that arrives with a horror-styled caller screen and creepy sound effects. A timer lets the prank be scheduled so the call appears at a chosen moment rather than straight away. The themes lean on ghosts, creepy creatures, monster-inspired visuals and Halloween effects. None of the calls are real communications; they are staged scenes played back on the phone to look like an incoming call.
The numbers are thin in one respect: the rating histogram in our record is empty, so there is no score to report yet. Installs, on the other hand, have passed 1,000,000+. The app is free, supported by ads, and has no in-app purchases. It was last updated on 2026-05-29, carries a Teen rating, and its Android requirement varies with device. We list 1 version, marked VARY, which means the build adapts to the device.
It fits people who enjoy harmless jump-scare pranks, especially around Halloween. Anyone looking for a feature-rich app or proven reviews may want to wait until ratings build up, and easily frightened friends are probably not the right audience.
