Privacy Policy

This page explains what Appmello collects when you visit, why, and what you can do about it. It is written to be read, not to be skimmed past.

What we collect ourselves

We do not ask you to register, and we do not run accounts, so we hold no name, email address or password for you. Our own logs record the ordinary technical details every web server sees: the pages requested, the time, a truncated IP address, the referring page and your browser's user-agent string. We use these to keep the site working and to understand which pages are worth improving.

What third parties collect

Advertising

Pages carry advertising served through Google Ad Manager and Google AdSense. Google, as a third-party vendor, uses cookies (including the DoubleClick cookie) and similar identifiers to serve ads based on your visits to this and other websites, to cap how often you see the same ad and to measure performance. Where personalised advertising applies, you can opt out at adssettings.google.com or, for other vendors, at aboutads.info/choices. How Google uses data from partner sites is described at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.

Ad requests also carry technical data: your IP address, user-agent, the page URL and, for visits that arrive from an advertising campaign, the campaign identifier in the landing URL. A first-party cookie keeps that campaign identifier for 30 minutes so the visit can be attributed; it holds no name, email or device identifier.

Analytics

We use aggregate analytics to count visits and see which pages are used. It reports totals and trends, not individual browsing histories.

Links that leave the site

Download links point to third-party mirrors. We do not host application files. Once you follow such a link you are on someone else's site, under their privacy policy, and we have no visibility into or control over what they collect.

Cookies and your choices

Cookies here fall into two groups: those needed for the site to function, and those set by advertising and analytics. Web beacons (tiny images or scripts) may be used by the advertising and analytics providers above for the same purposes. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the catalogue will still work.

If you visit from a region where consent is required (for example the EEA, the UK or Switzerland), a consent dialog is shown before personalised advertising cookies are used, and you can reopen it at any time from the Privacy settings link in the footer to change or withdraw your choice. Outside those regions, cookies are used as described above without a dialog.

Children

This site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal data. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact [email address] and we will delete it.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to ask what data is held about you, to have it corrected or deleted, or to object to certain processing. Because we do not operate accounts, we usually hold nothing that identifies you personally — but if you think we do, write to [email address] and we will look into it and reply.

Changes

If this policy changes materially, the date at the top of this page changes with it.
